Abu Dhabi foodies can rejoice because the world-renowned restaurant KOI, has recently opened its doors in the capital.
The fusion concept brings traditional Japanese food infused with a hint of California into each dish and this of course is a brand-new concept here.
On our first visit, we were eager to try everything, so on the suggestion of the server we picked some of the top ‘must-try dishes’ including Creamy Rock Shrimp Tempura, Salmon Carpaccio with black truffles and a citrus sauce, as well as the Wild Young Yellowtail Carpaccio. The fact that we wiped each of the plates clean is a testament to how delicious they were!
In the mains the Miso Bronzed Black Cod, accompanied with a medley of vegetables, melted in our mouth. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Kobe Style Filet Mignon that was served with Asparagus and four different types of mushrooms.
Apart from the phenomenal food and immaculate service another great feature is the variety of dining options within the same space. Depending on your budget, mood and company you can choose between the lounge, sushi counter, private outdoor salons or the KOI signature booths and intimate dining areas.
The earth-tone colors and minimalist decor gives the place a stylish understated and intimate vibe.
KOI is definitely worth a visit so you can understand what all the fuss is about!
