Make no mi-steak, you will not leave hungry!
The Thursday Steak Feast offers a tasting menu, with choices available to order as many times as you wish. Starters include seafood items, a meat dish, a salad, plus a soup. Main courses feature tasting cuts of beef, salmon and a pumpkin lasagne, while dessert is a compilation of signature desserts.
We were seated very quickly, however the menu or the concept wasn’t explained to us and we had to ask for this to be clarified before we could answer the waiter’s question – ‘what would you like to order?’.
The classic Caesar salad was fresh and crispy, the butternut squash crème was expertly poured from a teapot but we found it overly sweet, the Wagyu beef carpaccio tasted flavoursome with Parmesan and lettuce and the seafood fritto misto was simple, fresh and tasty.
We tried all the main courses – the three tasting cuts were well cooked, seasoned and held the juicy flavours, the Norwegian salmon, had a clean citrus flavour and the pumpkin lasagne wasn’t too creamy but felt a little al dente.
The dessert compilation featured an award winning Arabic dessert, a cheesecake and a raspberry sorbet.
Overall the food was of good quality, the choice was varied and portions were generous, making it excellent value in the city.
