The Ceramic Slip Cleanser from Sunday Riley has reached cult status for good reason.
You didn’t have to ace ceramics in art class to know that clay does the body good, especially when it comes in the form of this smoothing face wash from Sunday Riley.
The Ceramic Slip Cleanser (165 AED from Cult Beauty) is a gentle foaming cleanser formulated with French green clay and Moroccan Rhassoul clay to purify the skin, cleansing deeply to remove pore-clogging excess oil and impurities. This unique gel-based formula, enriched with vitamin C and black pepper, works to tighten pores, stimulate skin’s natural collagen production and increase circulation for a smooth and flawless looking complexion. Natural essential oils also help to tone and balance the skin whilst imparting a healthy, luminous glow.
The cleanser comes in a simple and sturdy plastic bottle. It has a pump dispenser with a locking mechanism, which is great if you want to take it away when travelling. The product dispenses in small squirts and 2 pumps are enough to wash your entire face and neck but if you want to use the product as a mask you’ll need 3 – 4 pumps.
The product itself feels slightly slick where most clay cleansers feel gritty or dry. This is due to the quality of the clay and the host of oils in it. It rinses off without any residue and leaves a smooth “ceramic” like feeling on the skin. It also leaves skin looking radiant and bright.
If your skin is playing up, over-producing oil and in need of a little refining, we would highly recommend this cleanser, but dry or sensitive skins might want to stick to oil or balm based cleansers, as this one can be a little drying.
