Forbes magazine has named Abu Dhabi among the world’s most influential cities

While London and New York top the prestigious Forbes list of the most influential cities in the world, Dubai has taken out seventh place and Abu Dhabi has been ranked twentieth.

To reach the final results, 58 influential cities were ranked according to different categories including the amount of foreign direct investment they have attracted, the concentration of corporate headquarters, air connectivity, strength of producer services, financial services, technology and media power and racial diversity.

Joel Kotkin, the author of the report believes Abu Dhabi is among the rising stars and could play an influential role in the future.

The top 10 cities included: London, New York, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Dubai, Los Angeles, Beijing and Sydney.

With its array of skyscrapers, central business hub, growing infrastructure and diversity, its no wonder Dubai has secured a top ten ranking.
