Fond of Art & Culture, especially when it is supporting the rich and vibrant culture of our region? We suggest a visit to Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel to admire the Haute Couture origami reconstruction of the Capital’s most iconic landmark  (and one of the top 25 attractions of the world): Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. 

UK artist Su Blackwell was selected as artist-in-residence for the hotel, working on site between April 22 and May 11, and created the Mosque through the medium of paper crafting. This masterpiece was cut from a specially produced, extra-large copy in Arabic of the book “One Thousand and One Nights”.
