Sushi Central, a Japanese restaurant in Abu Dhabi, has planned a very worthwhile initiative to launch during the Holy month of Ramadan. This newly opened eatery has decided to host a Charity Action during Ramadan to help disadvantaged workers and those most in need.
So how does it work? Sushi Central will become a drop zone for useful goods, including clothes and food. They will distribute the things donated on a daily basis in Mussafah’s Ramadan tents during Iftar.
Charity, which is “Zakat” in Arabic, is stated as one of the five pillars of Islam. Charity is observed at the end of fasting in the holy month by donating or distributing goods to needy residents.
We think it’s a great way to give and share this Ramadan – and want to say a big thank you to Sushi Central for the generous and thoughtful initiative.
