Looking for a Bistro & Bar with a terrace, sea views and of course great food and beverages? Bentley Kitchen has it all…

Planning to go out with friends and you’re in charge of picking the restaurant? Easy decision! We know just the place but please don’t forget to book a spot on their terrace! Perfect weather, beautiful sea views and even outdoor heaters if you are afraid of the chill in the air.

It had been a while since we last visited Bentley Bistro (now renamed Bentley Kitchen). Always a delightful experience, we were keen to go back once we heard about their new menu.

Divided into different sections – To start-salads, sliders, bao and tacos, burgers & homemade pies, The Main Event and finally Dessert  -, the prices seem more affordable compared to our previous visits. Most of the starters are priced between 40 and 75 AED and most of the main courses cost below 150 AED.

The new menu is very eclectic, casual and after testing many items, we realized they have revamped some of their classics by adding a twist. Well done! So here are some highlights of what appealed most to our tastebuds.

Firstly, their Burrata Salad (65 AED) was definitely a hit. The slow-cooked Puy lentils are served almost warm with Burrata on top. The trick for this recipe is the basil and tomato jam that adds an unusual sweetness to the lentil salad. A pairing we would have never thought of but that tastes great!

If you want to share starters, go for the Spanish style Garlic prawns that come with beef chorizo. This surf and turf mix gives the shrimp an added kick.

We were less convinced with the soft Wagyu Beef Cheek Croquette – Slow braised wagyu cheek & mushroom, with smoked sriracha mayo & compressed cucumber – priced at 75 AED- that were too bland for our taste.

Our partner in crime’s smoked Steak Tartare priced at 75 AED was a hit. Check the video below we published on our Facebook page and you’ll see why this dish is so popular on their menu.

There is one dish absolutely worth it among the bao bun options. Called “The Soft Shell Bao”, it is not only great looking when it comes to the table but is also amazing in taste. We love the story behind this dish as the Bentley Kitchen Chef actually worked hard with an Abu Dhabi based artist to draw and build a prototype that holds the 2 bao sliders (see the image below). The little man statue holds the 2 sliders in a hand while the other hand carries a little sauce flask. Playful for the eyes and full of pleasure for the taste thanks to the refreshing remoulade and pickled cucumbers inside the bao buns.

Among the desserts, the apple tart topped with vanilla ice cream looked classic at a first glance but it had an almond powder base that we relished. Their chocolate tart is also a hit with a strong unsweetened chocolate flavor and caramel ice cream that pairs well with it.

Don’t forget to book your table especially if you want to dine on their terrace. We noticed the outdoor section was quite busy and we visited Bentley Kitchen on a weeknight!
