Just in time to help you pick your next outdoor dining out spot in Abu Dhabi … with a view!

We love this time of year when there are fabulous new spots opening around Abu Dhabi that we can enjoy being outdoors at in the evenings.

This fall 2018 is no exception, and we are delighted to share the latest spots to open in the capital – that we will surely visit soon- and some not-so-recent spots that we do love.

@  Roof Lounge & Bar at Saadiyat Rotana | AL SAADIYAT ISLAND

 

Offering the perfect al fresco dining experience, Roof Lounge & Bar, takes guests up to an elevated, chic rooftop bar Turtle Bay Bar & Grill. Promises stunning sea and sunset views, an intimate setting complete with chill-out music, and an exceptional culinary experience complemented by an extensive beverage menu.

 

@ Nasma Beachfront Bar at Saadiyat Rotana | AL SAADIYAT ISLAND

Located on the resorts lower deck, beach facing Nasma Beachfront Bar offers cool vibes with a live DJ. Open daily between 10 am and 11 pm, come and grab a bean bag, sofa or a private cabana and socialize while enjoying Latin bar bites and hand-crafted cocktails, all mixed to perfection by the expert bartenders.
Come in for a sundowner, wriggle your toes in the sand while enjoying Caribbean beats, followed by shisha if you wish.

 

@ Art Lounge at Louvre Abu Dhabi | AL SAADIYAT ISLAND

This licensed café reopens its doors at the end of October 2018 and we cannot wait to visit.
The rooftop lounge bar offers great views on the roof of Louvre Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi skyline and the sea. Long white bar, white sofas, great views to enjoy at sunset time.
Be aware you need to have paid a museum entrance ticket to access this outlet. So it gives us an additional reason to go browse the new temporary exhibitions at Louvre Abu Dhabi late afternoon before heading to this spot.

 

@ Buddha Bar Beach Abu Dhabi at The St Regis Saadiyat Island | AL SAADIYAT ISLAND

We used to love visiting Turquoise which has now be taken over by Buddha Bar; the location by the beach, the light breeze, that feeling of being on vacation at a luxurious resort blow away your mind and instantly uplift your mood – and that’s why we are quite eager to go check the iconic Buddha Bar Beach that opened its doors earlier in 2018.

@ Terrace Lounge at Hakkasan Abu Dhabi | NEAR THE CORNICHE

Hakkasan has a cult status in Abu Dhabi but have you visited their Terrace Lounge? Launched right before summer, it reopens on 11th October and guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the Abu Dhabi skyline, special menus and pleasant weather, all ingredients for a perfect night out in the city.

@ Verso at Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi | NEAR THE CORNICHE

The place to visit for a family or friendly night out dinner with an Italian flair. We are fond of the indoor section of Verso but it also has a great outdoor terrace facing the pool and the sea. Nice atmosphere, great Italian delicacies, and sharing dishes.  We are fans of the setting outdoors with large pots that give each table their own privacy.

@ 99 Sushi Bar and Restaurant | AL MARYAH ISLAND

Fan of haute Japanese cuisine? 99 Sushi Bar and Restaurant just turned one lately and has already become a cult classic to head to whenever you crave refined Japanese dinner in a sophisticated and stylish setting. Their outdoor terrace overlooking the sea and the Abu Dhabi skyline is perfect for a chilled out night in Abu Dhabi. The restaurant just added some new subtle additions to experience in Abu Dhabi. Our personal favorite signature dishes include the Lobster maki and the Toro flambe nigiri with tomato purée.
Oh, and don’t forget to get advice from the head sommelier. He has an impressive background as he was declared Japanese Sake Sommelier of the year 2016 in London.

@ Eat Greek Kouzina | AL MARYAH ISLAND

Looking for a casual night out with feel-good vibes? Go try Eat Greek Kouzina as we have always had a very good time there. This licensed venue proposes typical Mediterranean and wholesome Greek cuisine that has a homely vibe. No fuss, friendly atmosphere and a delight for the palate!
Located at The Galleria, Eat Greek Kouzina has an outdoor terrace facing the Galleria promenade and the sea. Their must-try is quite long actually and includes the not to be missed Greek meze platter, grilled octopus, mixed grill – the skewers come to the table in a great setting!- and the list is way longer… Go try!

 

 

@Tashas | BATEEL 

 

A non-licensed venue that is often full when night comes. As soon as the weather starts to cool down, Tashas open their terrace and we like the indoor/outdoor feel you get. Casual comfy food, nice decor that you usually find only in decor magazines, it is a spot we like heading back to spend a casual night out.
Enjoy a walk around afterward as the Bateel area has been totally revamped and you get to discover Abu Dhabi views from a different angle with a seaside feel with new marinas beside the café.

 

@ Filini Garden | YAS ISLAND

It opened as a pop-up or seasonal bar & restaurant at Yas Island in 2017 and is about to celebrate its second season.
Great sea and mangroves views, very nice looking outdoor decor with large communal tables, hanging outdoor lights, a lot of greenery in the decor.
The place to go to if you are looking for a lively and vibrant atmosphere night out with friends in the city.
