It was both the exquisite, exciting flavours and the unique, warm décor that stood out on our first visit to Tori No Su; the Japanese restaurant at Jumeirah Etihad Towers hotel. Chef Ando and his welcoming team are keen to share their passion for Japanese culture with their guests – and you can taste that with every single nibble…
For lunch, we highly recommend trying their delicious Bento Box, which is a classic in Japan and gives you a good understanding of Chef Ando’s talented cuisine. We particularly enjoyed the slow-grilled dishes from the Robatayaki counter, such as the tender Lamb Chop caramelized with Teriyaki Sauce, the Black Cod marinated with miso, and the soft Eggplant topped with silky tofu.
For dinner, if you are fond of Teppanyaki, try one of the two counters surrounding the open kitchen – or try the sushi, which includes rare sea urchin.
Glancing from your dish to the décor, you feel spoilt… With materials including Italian marble, green onyx from Pakistan, purple fabric armchairs, and gold illuminated walls, the restaurant looks absolutely stunning.
