If you describe yourself as a gourmet connoisseur and have a fondness for French gastronomy, Brasserie Angelique should be on the top of your list to try.
We visited with a couple of friends and the first thing that grabbed our attention was the lively and vibrant ambiance, which was so typically French. After wondering how the eatery managed it, apart from the great acoustic, we realised that customers were just fully enjoying themselves, feeling relaxed, and welcomed by the attentive staff.
Chilling out comes naturally when surrounded by such glossy and sophisticated decor, from the classic armchairs, moulded ceilings, and crystal chandeliers, to the very French tables and silverware.
If you need any advice regarding their tempting menu, feel free to ask the knowledgeable staff who will do their best to please you while you struggle to choose between a Bouillabaisse (a rich stew made with various kinds of fish) or a Roast Bresse Chicken. Difficult choice!
We couldn’t resist ordering the Burgundy snails and felt ‘lucky’ to be experiencing for the first time this taste. We also were also amazed by our savoury vegetarian choice; a Twice baked Ossau Iraty Soufflé topped with creamed Spinach.
