You won’t believe we found these five gifts in Abu Dhabi for under 150 AED

We have recently scoured the Capital and are back with incredible quirky and unique finds that made great gifts and best of all won’t even break the bank.

A hidden tip in Khalifa City A…

A spa isn’t usually the first spot we have in mind to pick up an original gift, but here is another hidden tip for whenever you are in Khalifa City A.

First noticed at the 2015 ATAYA edition, we guarantee these small gifts are always a huge hit.

This spa stocks a large variety of paper lanterns with alphabet letters that are perfect as a home decor gift, for outdoor dinners and garden parties. Sold either per unit at 7 AED (letting you the possibility for build a word), you can also opt for packs with WORDS such as WELCOME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY that are cute and very affordable (65 AED).

We also picked out trendy glass tubes filled with a quote sticker that stand out and are priced at 47 AED only.

Go for Japanese chocolates…

We are definitely fans of Royce’ Chocolate, a Japanese brand that opened their first kiosk in Abu Dhabi inside World Trade Center. Located on the ground floor close to House of Fraser, our favorite range is the Nama collection that has 4 different flavours. The 20 chocolates in each box cost 105 AED and are sold in an irresistible packaging. Oh, and don’t worry the box is wrapped in a cooling bag to make sure the chocolates won’t melt on your way home.

Made in the UAE…

We discovered the Shiffa soap collection sold in all the Sephora outlets across Abu Dhabi. We love the packaging of the three different soaps available with the description of the product written in both Arabic and English and the lovely retro design. Made in Dubai, there are flavors for every taste such as the Rose Damascene soap, the Olive and Mint Cold Pressed Arabian soap and the Sandalwood soap.
Not only is the packaging lovely, we also adore the jewel like the ornament on top of each soap. The best bit is that they only cost 75 AED.

Opt for this 3D vase instead of the usual flowers…

If you are into graphic design, you will adore our next find! The “Hope Forever Blossoming”, vases are designed by Tokyo-based graphic designers and are sold in sets of two and packaged flat. Once you fill them with water, they become three dimensional and look like carved crystal.
This unique item is sold at Park Station Café inside Mushrif Central Park and costs 125 AED.

A gift with a nostalgic local feel…

During our last visit to Meylas Restaurant, we were not only impressed with the decor and concept of this newly opened Emirati restaurant, but we also loved browsing the gift corner inside the restaurant. Check their tea pot and Arabic coffee pot collection available in bright colors that make the perfect gift with a local twist (between 85 and 120 AED).

A raclette for two tonight?

We just fell for this so cute ‘Partyraclette to go’ sold at the newly opened first Tavola boutique in Abu Dhabi Mall. Resembling a miniature kitchen tool, you just need tea candles and you are ready to enjoy a raclette party anytime and anywhere. A very cool gift for family and friends that will set you back by 125 AED only.
