The icon hairstylist Aldo Coppola joins the Middle East
Finally Aldo Coppola has joined the UAE with the latest opening of its first beauty Salon – so called “The kingdom of beauty” – in Abu Dhabi last May to offer the best wellbeing experience in the region, from head to toe!
As its first location, the well-known Italian brand cherry-picked an independent villa next to the InterContinental Hotel in the prestigious Al Bateen area.
What is new and completely different from other salons in town is that Aldo Coppola has an incredibly wide range of customized services and treatments (body treatment and facial reviewed here), not only focusing on hairstyling (which was the core service of Aldo Coppola at the very beginning). In fact, the options at Aldo Coppola are plenty: for a perfect mani-pedi there is a nail bar area downstairs; or you can have your makeup done in the make-up rooms, while for absolute privacy the VIP suite is just stunning and it is decorated with a wall of red roses and accommodated with two hair stations, a Jacuzzi and a cocooning bed.
Upstairs there is the Hammam room equipped to provide Royal Turkish and Moroccan baths. Other eye catching features include the Emotional Shower, which works with chromo-therapy to help rebalance the chakras, and the Vichy Shower that promotes muscle relaxation and pain relief. There is also a prayer room at the first floor.
After a little tour around this beauty heaven, we were ready to meet our stylist. We started from the roots. As the stylist told us, Aldo Coppola’s innovative philosophy does not use oxidant colors, but henna and natural oil based colors to cover white hair.
After the color is fixed, we experienced the hair washing area which is equipped with a beautiful chromo-therapy lighting system and with very comfy massage seats.
The blow dry then was exactly what we were looking for, big waves with the right volume that came from rounded brushes first, fixed then with the iron. Some spray to fix everything and to beat the humidity, and we were ready to dress up for the evening!
