A deep cleansing facial in Abu Dhabi tried and tested at Tips and Toes

Always on the lookout for new facials to experience in Abu Dhabi, we are just back from a deep cleansing facial proposed at Tips and Toes. Not exactly sure about the difference between a regular facial and a deep cleansing facial the latter uses a variety of facial treatments to clean your face more thoroughly than a regular facial and insists much more on the extraction of oil and debris from the pores. Let’s get into details.

Upon arrival, our therapist started with a consultation to check our beauty routine and allergies in order to adapt the facial treatment to our skin type -combination, dry, sensitive.

After a quick eye make up removal and lip cleansing the therapist first cleaned our face deeply and then applied a refreshing toner.

Afterwards, she went on to applying a fresh and very flavorful peeling cream with fruits and flowers extract such as papaya, pineapple and also citric acid. While we were under the steam, we enjoyed a head massage.

The extraction of clogged pores, whiteheads and blackheads seemed much longer and deeper than usual as the therapist seemed to track and remove every single impurity and debris that may obstruct our skin. She focused not only on the usual forehead, nose and chin but also looked after our cheeks and neck.

Once our dead skin cells were all removed, the therapist gently cleaned our face with a phytogel with flower extracts and we really liked the eye gel applied to the eyes that was rich in collagen and Gingo Biloba.

Takwa, our therapist then applied a mask packed with kaolin, fruits extracts, seed oil and carrot for another 15 minutes. Adapted to our combination skin type, this mask is meant to help regulate our sebum secretion.

Once the mask was removed she moisturized our face with a cream filled with vitamin E and sorbitol. We really enjoyed the different massage techniques applied on our face such as a gentle rolling massage, tapping that stimulates blood circulation and act as lymphatic drainage to remove toxins and help the cream to penetrate deeply.

In the end, it was a very efficient facial focusing on in depth cleansing and we also liked the massage techniques applied to boost, plump and revitalize our face. The treatment delivers what is promised as we went out with much brighter and smoother looking skin.

This facial lasts 75 minutes and is priced at 350AED.
