That’s a real deal for Thursday night out in Abu Dhabi
Looking to step out with friends on a Thursday night around the downtown area? We are just back from District By Amalfi-a new spot in the city located at Le Royal Meridien – that deserves a shout out!
Guests can enjoy an unlimited buffet and a large selection of freshly made to order delicacies, every Thursday, between 6pm and 11pm.
Just like Market Kitchen at Le Royal Meridien, this homegrown space has a real personality. The graffiti and colorful prints at the entrance bring a piece of Soho and Little Italy to Abu Dhabi.
The menu is also inspired by these two neighborhoods and whether you are on a vegetarian or just craving good wholesome food, there is something for every taste (see menu below).
Before indulging in some of their a la carte items, we grabbed some nibbles from the buffet corner. After tasting some pizza slices – Amalfi, waggyu, Haloumi, Po Boy & The Dog – directly baked in the oven in front of customers, we tried the vegetarian antipasti options – grilled zucchini, red and yellow peppers, eggplants- and then picked up some cold cuts and a variety of Italian cheese.

We then ordered a few vegetarian and non-vegetarian options from the menu for sharing.
We adored their homemade ravioli: the butternut and feta ravioli paired really well with the flavorful herb butter. Our partner went for the duck and barley risotto prepared with confit duck and was topped with sauteed chanterelles and fresh garden peas. We also tried the spinach and mushroom spaghetti which came perfectly al dente.

Leave room for dessert as there are several tantalizing options to choose from. Tiramisu, pannacotta, cannolis from Little Italy to waffles, ice cream sundae and cheesecake from Soho.

This offer called “Sera Con Amici” meaning “Evening with friends” is fairly priced at 150AED per person – inclusive of all applicable charges and local fees – with live entertainment. Guests can also indulge and pair their dinner with a selection of crafted beers from 10 international districts in New York and Italian wines. The meal is inclusive of water, soft drinks and coffee.
