Cool places to eat in Abu Dhabi that offer something for you and the kids.

Usually a meal out with your little darlings, means IPads, colouring books and card games at the ready, just to keep them in one place, distracted and fed.  We have found a few places that will help in your search for a restaurant that pleases everyone. Here is a first selection of Abu Dhabi restaurants that cater for kids, so you don’t have to.

Jazz@Pizza Express has recently launched pizza making classes for kids every Saturday from 4-6pm.  For AED30 per child, they can create a pizza masterpiece with the chefs and earn themselves a certificate for their hard work – giving you a rest and the chance to gobble down some dough balls in peace.

Jones The Grocer has always been a firm favourite in Abu Dhabi and whilst they don’t have a play area, they do offer a kids’ menu including a lunchbox that will keep them engaged for a while, whilst they discover all the delicious things inside. Kids also eat free when two adult mains are purchased.

If the weather is bearable then head to Beach House at Park Hyatt on Saadiyat.  The kids can chow down on pancakes with fruit or Nutella, and whilst you enjoy the relaxing view, the kids can play in the sand that surrounds the restaurant’s gorgeous terrace.

Other popular cafés include Jim’s Kitchen at Masdar City that has a kids’ menu, soft play area and is close to the driverless cars so you can make a day of it, as well as Vinci’s cafe in Al Muroor, which offers an international menu and allows kids to eat free when two main dishes are bought.
