Al Maadan Abu Dhabi at Yas Mall is a haven if you are into refined and trendy Scandinavian design and lifestyle products

It has been a long while since we had explored a new decor and furniture store in Abu Dhabi that truly impressed us, till now. This brand new store has gone above and beyond our expectations as they carry a mix of furniture, home accessories, kitchenware, beauty, homeware, and fancy edible crafted collections.

What these products have in common is they all have that distinguished Scandinavian style, minimalist lines that we cherish.

Located on the top floor at Yas Mall, the large boutique is called AL MAADAN. They opened their first flagship store in the UAE in the Abu Dhabi Yas Mall in September 2019 and already are present in the region with two stores in Kuwait.

The flagship store houses six international brands under one roof, a collection of Nordic, Dutch, Parisian and Moroccan design with a cohesive aesthetic. The brands showcased in-store include among others: – Denmark family-run House Doctor interior designs;
– famous portraits, paintings and print art from Ekinakis,
– Le Monde Sauvage Parisian traditional and modern decorative objects, designs and textile products;
– Fest Amsterdam, affordable, Dutch-designed furniture with a fresh twist and a pop of color;
– Chabi Chic, Parisian and Moroccan inspired, crafted artistic home accessories, furniture, high-end body care, and scents;
– and Meraki, a unique world of lifestyle and skincare products designed and developed in Denmark.”

This Danish brand has that very refined and simple aesthetic and offers a lot of products ranging from home diffusers, scented candles to solid and liquid high-quality soaps, body scrubs, hand creams, and other lifestyle products. We are big fans of this beauty and home brand as it is stylish while staying affordable. The line also includes products for men such as a shaving oil or shaving soap.

The whole collection is made without parabens, colorants and only mild preservatives. Using the best of what nature has to offer, Meraki stands out for offering simple yet clean packaging, and products are made with gentle, active and nourishing ingredients with natural fragrances.

Some of our favorites include the Sandcastles and Sunsets home diffusers, Fig and Apricot candle sold in a cute white can.

Nicolas Vahé is a well-known stylish brand also from Denmark that proposes upscale Scandinavian utensils, ranging from wooden trays to tea and coffee accessories, earth ceramic mugs, plates, and bowls or trays. The whole collection uses natural materials and organic shapes.

Their gourmet line is to die for and will definitely upgrade your kitchen, from the flavored coffee beans to the appealing jams or syrups. We wanted them all! Again, we are huge fans of the product’s packaging that match well with Meraki. A lovely edible line to go check out for yourself or to keep in mind next time you are looking for gifts with a twist!

Nicolas Vahé has a solid culinary background as he used to work at Pic, in Valence (France), the restaurant of the Michelin 3 starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic.
