Making music in Abu Dhabi at the city’s new Music Hub
It’s not easy to learn a musical instrument from scratch. It takes time, perseverance and, most importantly, practise, practise, practise. Before all of these, however, a new student needs a good teacher with the talent, passion and patience to inspire their mind and train their technique. In Abu Dhabi, aspiring musicians now have recourse to all of this since the launch of the new Music Hub.
Located just back from the Corniche on 5th street, in the heart of the city, Music Hub has been set up by a team of passionate professionals and talented musicians with a view to providing high-quality teaching and inspiring a life-long love of music through enjoyable exercises and communal classes.
Both children and adults are welcome, with private and group lessons designed to cater to all ages and abilities. Percussion groups and movement and listening classes for toddlers take place every week while older kids and teens can sign up to Glee Club at the Hub on Saturdays, a group activity inspired by the hit show offering participants the chance to express themselves through singing and performance.
Grown-ups looking for a refresher can join the Rusty Fingers sessions to tune-up their style or learn from scratch in an adult beginners class. It’s a chance to not only work with great teachers and master your instrument of choice but also to meet likeminded people and have a great time in the process.
