Always on the hunt to discover new beauty products, we tried out Annayake a Japanese skincare brand available at AREEJ in Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi. What definitely drew us in immediately was that you can test the Annayake range for free – once only-before deciding if you want to purchase it or not.

Curious as we are, we gave it a try and the Annayake technician booked us for their free mini-facial that lasted around 30 to 45 minutes and gives more insight about the philosophy of the brand and the way the products work.

Whilst enjoying our mini facial that is divided into 10 steps, we learned that the Annayake products all have a number written under the bottles – from 1 to 10 – which help you remember in which order you are supposed to apply them. Quite smart!

So, after the cleansing to remove the makeup traces, comes the facial wash followed by a massage and a facial scrub. Then the technician applied a mask for about 5 minutes that gently stimulates the skin and left it invigorated and purified. We were then ready for the firming serum and the eye contour which were the steps we most enjoyed. The final touch was applying the day cream , the lip protection, and at last a SPF 30 moisturizer which is particularly important to preserve our skin from the harsh Abu Dhabi sun.

We finally couldn’t resist buying the serum and must say that after 10 days of wearing it daily, our skin looks and feels much better. Once you become a regular Annayake customer, you are automatically booked for a monthly free mini-facial. We personally love this added perk!!

This is indeed an interesting incentive given that the Annayake brand is quite expensive.
