Experience Kayaking at Night through the Eastern Mangroves in Abu Dhabi
There are two reasons for kayaking at night. One, because you need to for some reason or another or two, because, you live in the baking hot desert and it just isn’t a good idea to kayak during the day!
Organised by Noukhada Adventure Company, the idea is to offer a different perspective of the city – experiencing a quiet pocket of Abu Dhabi at night.
Taking a kayak into Abu Dhabi’s mangroves is a completely different way of looking at the city. You may have done the souks, the mosques or even the bus tours but a spot of night-time sightseeing from the seat of a kayak is a welcome change to the hustle and bustle of city life.
And there are two ways to do it – The Mystery night paddle and the Night light tour.
The mystery night paddle tour sets off at 7pm and lets you explore a different area of the mangroves every night, while the night light tour is 1.5 to 2 hours of guided paddling in the mangroves.
The nightlight kayaks are fitted with LED lights allowing you to see the fish and other wildlife at night. These tours start at 7pm and depart from Eastern Mangroves National Park every Wednesday and Yas Beach every Thursday.
