We were recently invited to stay at Rooms Hotel, a former publishing house, it the cultural hotspot in Tbilisi, Georgia. Located in the charming Vera neighborhood, the eclectic and refined décor is a nod to its past. The collection of books at the entrance are a nostalgic reminder of the hotel’s rich history.
The understated décor has a vintage-chic vibe and a communal atmosphere. The modern New York-style inspired lounge and terrace area are buzzing from morning till late into the night with the local and out-of-town creative crowd.
The rustic restaurant serves traditional Georgian food with a modern twist. The highlight is the buffet breakfast that is filled with local delicacies and fresh fruit from the region.
The rooms are spacious and filled with vintage-style furniture and accessories including an old-school Bakelite telephones. The bed in comfortable and the space is cozy with a plush velvet couch, kitschy wallpaper and antique cupboards. The ideal place to relax once back in the room after exploring the waterfalls and historical sites including the Narikala fortess. The suites also boast claw-foot tubs, while the rooms all feature rain showers and other modern amenities.
