Embellished hair accessories that look like a work of art
‘Deepa Gurnani’ a stylish yet boho-chic hair accessory brand is now in Abu Dhabi-we have been stalking this style in fashion magazines from abroad for the last few months.
Deepa Gurnani and her Husband Jay Lakhani are the duo behind the fancy handmade and vintage-style headpieces. Their creations are so unusual that it’s interesting to get more insight about how this duo started. After graduating from the prestigious UK Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Deepa worked for high-end labels such as Alexander McQueen, Emmanuel Ungaro or Fendi. Her husband who was more focused on jewel designing worked for Tiffany and Bulgari.
Combining their expertise and skills , they launched Deepa Gurnani collections in 2006, designing hair accessories that look like jewels. We adore their hand-beaded and embroidered accessories that are all unique pieces of artwork.
We can now purchase these head jewels at House of Fraser in Abu Dhabi. The store displays a wide variety of their creations that can be worn casually or then for a night out. Check out their large choice of headbands -beaded geometric, woven stone or crystal statement-that can also be worn as bracelets.
House of Fraser also has plenty of Deepa Gurnani hair ties to choose from, all the items also make great gifts.
The price range varies and starts from under 100 AED and goes up to over a 1000 AED.
