INDULGE IN A HANDS AND FEET TREATMENT IN ABU DHABI

After almost a year of wearing flip-flops, sandals or staying barefoot at home, most of us find it difficult to have to lock up our feet in boots and closed shoes.

This lead us to look for a hands and feet treatment in Abu Dhabi to be ready to fight the upcoming winter days and tackle our tired hands and feet.

After browsing many spa menus, we picked the DDG Hands Facial and the Lavender Heel Peel both available at The Nail Spa – TNS for the connoisseurs, a spa located at Eastern Mangroves Promenade and Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi- combined with a mani-pedi.

 

The DDG Hand Facial Treatment
(30 minutes- 160 AED for the hands)

For those not familiar with DDG, this stands for Dr. Dennis Gross, a celebrity dermatologist and surgeon based in New York City who developed his own skincare products to leave the skin healthy and protected from the aggressions our skin faces daily from air pollution, water and natural aging…

Famous for his Alpha Beta Peel facial pads (available to purchase at TNSwith a few other products from this brand), we really enjoyed our treatment which focuses on improving skin density, texture and tone.

Milan, our hand therapist, first started by cleansing our hands and then sprayed an antiseptic spray flavored with mint to refresh our hands and arms. Then the Alpha Beta Peel treatment begins with the application of a solution to exfoliate the skin, remove dead skin followed by the application of an enriched neutralizer to moisturise the hands.

Afterwards, she applied a hyaluronic gel and a vitamin infused self heating mask that will help plump the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. The therapist left the mask on for a few minutes to let the ingredients work their magic.

Once the mask was removed, the treatment ended with a hands and arm massage with a moisturising cream.

In the end, we enjoyed it and felt our skin looked bright and soft as promised.

 

The Lavender Heel Peel
(105 AED for 40 minutes)

This foot treatment aims to cast off the calluses and reveal super soft soles with a lavender salt soak.

So, after the classic pedi, the therapist first applied a lavender cream mask on top of our feet while the soles were covered with a Callius Eliminator. She then wrapped our feet in a cling film and left us for 10 minutes. After removing our calluses, she soaked our feet for a few seconds in warm water with lavender sea salt which was comforting and pleasant. Afterwards, the feet were scrubbed with a lavender and sugar scrub; the therapist then applied a grape seed oil to moisturise. The last step was a wonderful massage.
Goal achieved! Come in winter, we were ready !
