A NEW LADIES ONLY FITNESS BOUTIQUE IN ABU DHABI

We just visited a brand new cozy fitness studio for ladies only in the city: FLO FITNESS STUDIO located close to ACS – American Community School in Abu Dhabi – in Khalidiya.

The premises is located inside a villa with different rooms distributed over two floors: a barre room and a room equipped with reformer pilates equipment for private sessions on the first floor and a group reformer pilates room on the top floor.

 

We love the appealing decor and attention to detail-ceramic floor tiles in the changing rooms, AESOP soaps and balms in the bathrooms, showers and more.

 

The decor is dominated by white and beige tones- thick white carpet on the stairs and hallways leading to the rooms, with a few light wooden tones around; on the walls the bespoke wooden logo indicating the rooms’ activities, the reformer beds and other such details.

The ground floor is set to welcome a clothing retail corner and juice bar by next year.

Flo Fitness Studio just opened its doors in December 2018 and proposes group classes daily (the studio is closed on Fridays) varying from yoga (mindful flo class), mat pilates (Flex & Flow), barre classes with a fun label “Bend it Like a Barbie”, Reformer pilates classes and yoga dance to start with. Additional classes will be added in 2019.

 

We attended a Level 1 reformer class in December with Enas and enjoyed our tough session as our trainer was attentive to our posture and would take time to correct our body position and give us feedback about how to breathe efficiently during each exercise and make the most out of them.

With five reformer beds in the group class room, it is ideal to work in small groups and get immediate constructive feedback from the coach.
