A NEW CASUAL BREAKFAST SPOT FOR THE WEEKEND

An homegrown new cafe with a relaxed vibe in the heart of Masdar

If you are looking for a new spot to enjoy a casual late breakfast with family or friends on the weekend, the newly opened Jim’s Kitchen Table in Masdar is worth checking out.

Located on the ground floor of the Siemens Building, the cafe has several unique features that may have you coming back for more.

Cool atmosphere

We really liked the café’s spacious layout with high ceilings, concrete flooring, wooden and brick walls that gives it a cozy feel. You can opt for a booth or choose the high tables and stools for a quick bite on the go.

The café also has comfy leather sofas if you are planning a casual catch up with friends. For more privacy you can have your meal in the quieter mezzanine.

 

All day breakfast

The next best thing about this spot is the fact that it serves hearty breakfasts all day long, making it a more convenient option if you’re not in the mood for a high-end brunch in the city.

We sampled their creamy mushrooms served upon thick fresh slices of bread that were so wholesome and also came along with coffee from Coffee Planet. The dish also came with a side of fresh bread, butter and jam – all at a reasonable price of AED 38.

There is a wide range of breakfast dishes to choose from for kids such as scrambled eggs and soldiers priced at 20 AED.

 

The play area for small children

Parents will be delighted to know that the café has a nice and open play area where the little ones can have fun reading, playing or watching TV. Meanwhile, parents can sit back, relax and enjoy their meal.

 

The gourmet and flower corners

If you are planning to attend a special occasion, you can stop by the flower corner to buy a fresh bouquet. The gourmet corner also stocks a nice array of fine foods such as olive oils, vinegar, jams, pasta or sweet delicacies. Foodies can choose from a wide selection of brands such as Amaretti del Chiostro cookies available in boxes, White Balsamic Glaze from Tondo, Balsamic vinegar by Il Tinello, Gluten free pasta by Viazzo and many more.

 

The Bakery

Be sure to not leave the café without taking home some fresh bread from the bakery corner. The multi cereal bread (15 AED) is simply delicious, even the day after. The section also offers Portuguese rolls, sesame bagels, baguettes, brioche buns, country loafs.

Jim’s Kitchen Table is open seven days a week from 7:30am to 10pm.
