Three restaurants offers you should try out this month at The Abu Dhabi Edition

We are all back in town and excited to catchup with friends and family. If you are still looking for a cozy and gourmet spot to book in the coming weeks, then read on as we have great options to share.

The Abu Dhabi Edition – one of one favourite hotels in town – has a very special offer between the 10th of September and the 10th of October. The event is called Restaurant Month and the idea is to offer a special gourmet option in each restaurant the hotel hosts. From healthy eating at Market, to Italian cravings at Alba Terrace or to Oak Room for the meat connoisseurs, there is something unique to try for every taste.

We were lucky enough to join the Friday night dinner at Oak Room and meet Tom Aikens – he is the youngest British chef to have ever been awarded two Michelin stars, at the age of 26 – who has crafted these menus and offers and had a wonderful experience thanks to Charlie, the meat sommelier.

Which one will you pick? Healthy, Italian or carnivore dinner?

At Oak Room

Our experience at Oak Room was an absolute winner. We started off our dinner with fresh bread accompanied by homemade and Marmite flavored butter. A must-try, we swear!

Our table of 4 devoured the carpaccio of seared and peppered USDA prime beef tenderloin, topped with horseradish, pickled portobello mushroom that added some texture and watercress sauce which paired well with both.

For our main, Charlie, the meat sommelier prepared a fantastic Black Angus Flank Steak. Coming with four different mustards and an assortment of sides – sweet potato and regular fries along with spinach, the meat flavor was memorable. A quintessential experience for all carnivores around.

We ended our night with a British classics called Mixed Berry Trifle served in a cocktail glass and prepared with layers of jams and vanilla custard.

During restaurant month, the 3-course menu is available at 250AED and is served from 6 pm to 11pm.

The+: We loved the sophisticated decor of this British steakhouse that has a Rock ‘n’ Roll flair with its oversized back and white pictures on the wall and the frosted glass-fronted butchery where the meat sommelier is busy cooking our cuts.

At Market Edition

During restaurant month, guests can enjoy a 3-course menu for AED 140 per person. Every time we have visited Market at The Abu Dhabi Edition, we have been absolutely seduced by the recipes and dishes we have picked, with Tom Aikens proposing a healthy cuisine based on delicious flavors, organic ingredients with an international and trendy flair. Packed with imaginative recipes and flavors, we promise Market cuisine will reconcile anyone with “healthy” cuisine.

The +: We love the open layout and feel-good atmosphere with the floor to ceiling plants on the walls. Ideal for a relaxed night out.

 

At Alba Terrace

Alba Terrace, focusing on Mediterranean flavors, also proposes daily from 12 pm to 11 pm, a three-course menu at AED 160 per person.

The +: A stylish restaurant proposing a generous cuisine packed with colors and Mediterranean flavors. Their outdoor terrace is mesmerizing at night time with water features and oversized plants and pots all around. You feel like being on holidays in a resort …
