St. Regis Abu Dhabi invites you to supper, 255 metres in the air

St Regis Abu Dhabi is opening their helipad once a month, exclusively for 20 guests to experience breath-taking views and we were invited to try it out.

When we arrive at the hotel, the St Regis butlers lead us through secret hallways and a couple of elevators, which fly us up past 64 floors.  Then after scaling a few stairs, we see daylight and feel a wonderful whoosh of air, as a team of waiters greets us with thirst-quenching welcome drinks.

We take a few more steps and are totally awestruck by what we see – an almost uninterrupted 360 degree view of the capital, all with a glass in our hand and the wind in our hair.

Once we’ve taken photos from every angle possible, we notice food on the tables – similar to an afternoon tea setup, with a variety of small sandwiches.

The waiters, chefs and butlers were also on hand, offering canapés such as oysters, caviar and desserts throughout the evening.

We loved watching the sun setting whilst listening to the live saxophonist and taking in the beautifully lit city beneath us.  A truly mesmerising experience.
