After a first exhibition in 2013, the French author and photographer Olivier Escarguel will be back in Abu Dhabi in May 2014 for the second part of a trilogy called “Between Sand and Sea”.

His second exhibition entitled ‘Recalled in Chiaroscuro’ will showcase more than a hundred mix of black & white and colored photography, at Ormuz Gallery in downtown, Abu Dhabi.

This exhibition offers the visitors an unusual and poetic wandering into the Memories of Arabia and its surrounding area. Most of the photography relates to the United Arab Emirates, which is the heart of the exhibition, with some connections to surrounding nations including Yemen, Oman and Zanzibar.

The exhibition is worth visiting as Olivier Escarguel has this magical ability to sustain time, catching his emotions with his camera and sharing them with the audience.

Through his eyes, we discover his permanent desire to unveil a connection between people and their environment.

This exhibition will run from the 2nd May until the 19th May 2014.

If you would like to pick up a souvenir, there will also be a range of photos, in different formats – postcards, posters and prints on canvas, prices will be ranging from 60 AED to 3,000 AED and between 500 to 650 AED for a signed and numbered original photography.
