Does this image ring a bell?
Such a great initiative by IKEA has just been launched with a collection of design posters at very affordable prices: 49 AED only.
Indeed, this artwork created by the Chinese artist Hua Tunan immediately appealed us as this picture was part of the Dubai project ‘Rehatna’ which means ‘Our Journey’ last year in Dubai and a world record by the way.
In celebration of the 43rd National Day of the UAE, a similar design had been painted in Dubai and was part of the longest graffiti ever created. Check our article and picture taken at Jumeirah Beach Park in November 2014.
We like the idea behind this innovative concept and limited collection the company just started in this IKEA ART EVENT 2015: “we think that art belongs in people’s homes. And with these collections, art becomes accessible for a lot of people – you don’t need to be wealthy to buy something unique.” is the IKEA message that goes along with this campaign.
Apart from this image, there are 11 other street artists who have been chosen worlwide (Brazil, The Netherlands, USA, Switzerland, Indonesia, Poland, Serbia, , France and Spain) to create these 12 unique street art posters for IKEA. Launched on the first of April 2015, this is a limited collection so check out quickly these posters in the UAE IKEA stores as we are afraid they might be sold out very quickly.
