This luxury baby and child’s department store – the first of its kind in the region, is a treasure trove for gifts and bedroom decor.
Push the door open of Children’s Lane and you will be transported into a fantasy world that could possibly be somewhere in the heart of London. This high-end and traditional boutique department store for kids is neatly tucked away on the first floor inside the Fotouh Al Khair family mall and you should follow the signs that will lead you to this unique retail store.
Once inside, we were in awe of this children’s haven, filled with gift items, homeware and decor, exquisite furniture, timeless games, clothes and even skincare products.

Home Decor Haven
Inside Children’s Lane we discovered irresistible pieces and carefully handpicked brands and products we have not seen before in Abu Dhabi. One of the first items to catch our attention were the Canvas Night Lights and Canvas Growth Charts by Oopsy Daisy that has a classic creative flair with affordable prices.
The shop also proposes a beautiful collection of Belle & Boo framed artworks, stationery and accessories – a British lifestyle brand known for its original and nostalgic illustrations for children.
If you wish to find a unique gift to celebrate a birthday or Christmas, that will help your child build everlasting memories, have a look at their enchanting collection of wooden rocking horses of all sizes to suit any room space by Stevenson Brothers.
We also adored the unique range of cuddly toys – Jelly Cat, Trousselier, Ragtales…- our preferred one was the Blossy Cream Bunny by Jelly Cat (see the gallery below) and the little music boxes by Margaret Tempest.
Royal Nursery style furniture range
The children’s bedroom furniture has exquisite pieces ranging from cribs, beds, wardrobes to tables and chairs. Browsing through the collection it is reminiscent of a Royal Nursery. We loved the refined wooden rocking chairs and wooden toy boxes with a vintage soul.
Wanting to recreate that magic for your own child’s room? They also offer interior design services to help you dream up anything.
Selection of games like no other
Children’s Lane is also an ideal place for picking up an appropriate birthday gift for children. The more we explored the options for gifts, the more we enjoyed our journey!
There is an extensive range of traditional and educational games by French brand Djeco, from travel card games to puzzles, origami and many more. Oh, and they also have a stationery corner filled with dainty and old-fashioned pencil tins and books by Belle & Boo, postcards and writing sets.
The wooden games collection includes play blocks, binoculars, cameras and wooden cars from the 30’s by Wooden Story and Fanny and Alexander. Creative and beautiful!
They also stock soft fabric books by Ragtales sold in a cute box such as The Princess and the Pea that parents may read countlessly with their young kiddos before bedtime.
The Clothes Corner
The boutique is home to exclusive clothing brands such as Amberley London, La Stupenderia, Fleurisse, Magnolia Baby, Mishka Aoki, Rachel Riley, Petit Bateau, Troizenfants and more. From party dresses, to cosy slippers or pyjamas, you will discover a handpicked selection of refined items ranging from newborns up to 16 years old dresses.
The Pampering corner for Mummy and kids
The skincare corner is filled with unique brands – Sophie La Girafe and organic certified range Little Butterfly. We adored the different gift boxes by Love Boo that are perfect for a Baby Shower such as ‘The Luxury Mummy Spa kit’ or ‘Mummy and Me Pamper kit’.
Overall, this boutique is a little marvel to visit. They have done a wonderful job of sourcing timeless and eclectic gifts and decor items, covering a wide price range.
