Let the little ones enjoy science and construction through educational and fun kits
There’s a new toy store in Masdar City that aims to promote valuable environmental messages by selling a wide range of renewable educational toys. Eco Planet is a pure heaven in Abu Dhabi if your kids are fond of construction, science, physics or alternative energy and want to learn more through their own experiments.
This hidden boutique, which opened almost a year ago, offers a range of environment friendly models and much more at affordable prices. Some of the models are already built and on display in the store which is great if you want to see how the kit will look once assembled.
We fell for the Bottle Catamaran priced at 55AED. With two small plastic bottles of water and this kit, the little ones can build a cool catamaran and enjoy watching it skim across the water on its pop-bottle floats, pushed by its spinning propeller.
We also liked the wind-powered landsailer priced at 77AED, a fun science project to help kids discover some wind physics while watching the landsailer zip away. The store also stocks many educational games involving solar energy and many great brands such as 4M, Lego, Engino and Fischertechnik.
This place is definitely a must visit if you want to add a sustainable twist to the usual birthday gifts and to help your kids learn new skills while being proud of taking care of their planet.
