We just discovered a lush spot to enjoy a great picnic outdoors with the entire family. While exploring the surroundings of the Capital, we discovered there was a huge and fairly empty park named Yas Gateway Park North that is absolutely worth the visit especially with young kids.

So, to make your trip successful we advice you pack up the bikes, football, rackets, kites, prepare a picnic with gourmet salads and sandwiches and don’t forget the blankets.

We adore the wide flat lawn and the high trees surrounding the alleys that bring a welcoming shade in the afternoon. There are also two covered brand new recreational areas for kids to play, climb, slide and enjoy. The asphalt path surrounding the park is also conducive to walking and jogging and for the little ones to brush up on their biking skills without the stress of cars driving by.

The park was so quiet during our visit on a weekday we even wondered if it was open to the public or not. Landscaping and maintenance workers confirmed that the public is allowed to come and enjoy the park facilities whenever they prefer.
