The entire Abu Dhabi community is invited to join in the free celebrations, including families and little ones at The Galleria Al Maryah Island.

The Galleria Al Maryah Island is putting on Abu Dhabi’s first-of-its-kind party on Friday 15 November 2019, for everyone to enjoy.

There will be special designated family zones located at the Pavilion level near the main entrances of The Galleria. The areas will be covered and will have views of large screens so everyone can enjoy the festivities in comfort. Guests are invited to the island for the mega-celebration, filled with all-day family fun including:

13:15 – Abu Dhabi Police Marching Band

13:45 – Street parade

14:45 – Dabke Dance Troop

15:15 – Tricycle Jukebox

15:45 – Roller Skaters

16:15 – LED Parade of Drummers

17:00 – Face Painting Balloon Benders

17:15 – Bollywood Dance Troop

…and much more! Alongside entertainment, the party will also offer array of food delights at the celebration.

Helpful Tips You Should Know

• Parking spaces will be available at The Galleria parking
• Best way to access the block party is via Zayed The First St. and Hamdan Bin Mohammed St.
• Use public transportation or Careem. Those coming for the Block Party can get 50% off their Careem ride by using code “TGUAE50”
• Al Falah street will be blocked off, so there will be road closures and rerouting of traffic

It will be an incredible event for all, from the young to the young at heart, and here are 12 reasons why it must not be missed.

1.The festivities are free and open to the entire community
Al Falah Street will be closed to traffic and transformed into an outdoor mega-celebration, no tickets required. Just turn up and enjoy all-day family fun and multicultural entertainment.

 

2.Epic concerts by A-list artists
The Galleria’s Block Party will feature performances from 7pm – 10pm by international singers including, Egyptian singer-songwriter Abu, Filipina pop star Nadine Lustre, and Bollywood rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh.

 

3.DJ Jazzy Jeff will be there
The hip-hop icon has risen to fame through his collaboration with Will Smith for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He will be kicking off the evening at 7pm with a line-up of hits.

 

4.A cultural carnival for all
Everyone will be fascinated! Guests will be entertained with Dubai Drummers, Dabekeh dancers, bhangra dancers, as well as B-Boy street dancers.

 

5.This is Al Maryah Island’s first block party
There hasn’t been anything like this done before on Al Maryah Island, so come and be a part of the action and enjoy some never-been-done before surprises.

 

6.Lots of food offerings
The Block Party will have its own culinary festival! Not only will there be an abundance of food trucks, but there will be all kinds of cuisines on offer. Restaurants and cafes in the mall will be open with special offers, and food trucks will be lined up outside.

 

7.Roaming entertainment everywhere
Feel the beat of the LED parade of drummers, be impressed by the greatest showman show, and be amazed by the roller skaters whisking by. There is a full range of roaming entertainment throughout, including the main event area, inside The Galleria and ADGM Square.

 

8.The Abu Dhabi Police Band
To kick off the festivities, the Abu Dhabi Police Band will parade through Al Falah Street playing the UAE National Anthem, accompanied by traditional Ayala dancers.

 

9.Multi-level concerts
In a UAE-first, some of the acts will perform on the Galleria’s upper terraces giving an elevated experience like no other. The main stage will be on street level, and large LED screens will stream the concerts so nobody will miss out on the action.

 

10.Little party-goers can enjoy the Family Zone
Little ones will have their own dedicated zone in ADGM Square in special tented areas with kids’ shows, balloon benders, face painting and much more.

 

11.Win a meet and greet with DJ Jazzy Jeff
