Here are our highlights if you wish to attend Qasr Al Hosn Festival in 2015
Every year, it seems that Qasr Al Hosn Festival has new features and performances to celebrate the history of the fort and centuries of Emirati culture and traditions. The annual event will take place during 11 days , between the 11th and the 21st February 2015 in the heart of the Capital, inside the block where Qasr Al Hosn is located.
The Qasr Al Hosn Festival is divided into different areas : marine, desert, oasis, Abu Dhabi Island , Festival Stage and also the Qasr Al Hosn, and the Cultural Building Foundation. As usual, there will be many workshops, craft activities, merchant stalls to visit that allow us to explore and revive the day to day old traditions and way of life in the UAE.

IN AND AROUND QASR AL HOSN
Qasr Al Hosn Fort Tours
This year, visitors are welcome to enjoy fort tours that will bring them around and within the fort. This is a unique experience to discover the work being undertaken to conserve Qasr Al Hosn and also visit the living quarters for the very first time.
Visit the National Consultative Council Chamber
Get a chance to visit the National Consultative Council Chamber which had a pivotal role in the formation of the UAE.
IN AND AROUND THE CULTURAL FOUNDATION BUILDING
Part of the Cultural Foundation Building will be opened to the public this year
Installations will be displayed throughout the Cultural Foundation Building areas celebrating and reviving the memory of this landmark.
A new exhibition to attend
If you are keen on the history of architectural and urban development in the UAE over the past centuries, don’t miss ‘Lest We Forget: Structures of Memory in the United Arab Emirates’ exhibition. Commissioned by Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation.
Performances at the reopened amphitheatre
Many performances are scheduled throughout the 11 days such as:
– the revival of Emirati folk songs,
– ‘Cinema Emaratiya’ hosting a portfolio of short films that have been produced by Twofour54
– a sand art performance accompanied by Emirati Rababa live music
– A poetry recital accompanied by the Rababa and the Oud within the inner Fort.

Qasr Al Hosn Festival 2015 in Abu Dhabi
5 different entrances to access the Festival
Opening Hours :
4pm to 11pm,
Opening day, February 11th, the Festival doors open at 8:00 pm.
Ladies day will take place on February 12th, for women and children under 12 only.
