A hidden gem for the cold days in Abu Dhabi…
With these cooler temperatures and no heating systems in most flats and houses, we felt the urge to look for a warm and reinvigorating bath in Abu Dhabi.
Invited to review the spa at Dusit Thani, we discovered that they offer the legendary Cleopatra’s beauty ritual bath that we just had to try out.
We began by sipping a sweet and floral chrysanthemum tea served cold before heading over to the treatment room.
An impressively large space with a zen like atmosphere, it was equipped with two massage tables, a double sized bath shower and individual locker. Once ready, we soaked into the warm white bath that the therapist had prepared for us filled with fresh milk, geranium rose oil and natural honey.
They had also set up candles with rose and purple light tones reflecting on the white water, this is indeed a divine moment to relax the mind and body while bathing and nourishing the skin.
Perfect for delicate and sensitive skin, this mild and gentle water treatment helps in hydrating the skin and dryness and irritation relieved thanks to the honey while the fresh milk gently removes worn out skin cells and moisturize the skin.
After half an hour, the therapist knocked on the door and invited us to shower. The shower was equipped with lights that kept changing to create a calming vibe.
Once dressed, we were invited to head to the relaxing corner and sip on warm ginger tea with natural honey. A perfect pause before heading back to reality and work!
