Kangoo Jumps offers a fun way to get fit
Lose up to 1000 calories with this fun exercise class! Step into your boots and jump your way around the class – is how we thought the Kangoo Jumps class would go – but boy we were wrong!
We put on the jump boots with springs attached to the sole and our initial thought is how we were going to get up off the floor! But once we are up, it doesn’t take long to get our balance.
The session begins with a run around in a circle to warm up; along with some aerobic exercises including jumps, squats and kicks.
The session then moves on to the bar where we do ballet-esque moves, which involve lifting, and pulsing our legs to the side – no easy feat when we have 2.5kilo boots around our ankles!
We head back to middle for more aerobic exercises, which include more jumping, this time from one side of the studio to the other and incorporating dance moves.
We finish the session on the mat to do some floor exercises that strengthen the core and develop your leg muscles.
Kangoo Jumps is absolutely brilliant, even if you are not a seasoned athlete. The low impact workout is intense and you will really feel it for a few days, but if you are looking for a fun way to exercise, this is it!
Kangoo Jumps is available at Tone Fitness. Kangoo class is 80 dirhams per hour and 20 dirhams rental for the boots.
