Break your fast with a sumptuous Iftar buffet at The Terrace on the Corniche

It was our very first time trying Iftar at The Terrace, The St Regis Hotel Corniche and we must say the display, rich flavors and broad options had us totally seduced.

The St. Regis Abu Dhabi’s hospitality allows guests to immerse in regional traditions, taking us on a culinary voyage of discovery across the region, with live cooking stations (shawarma station…), authentic dishes, and traditional flavors emblematic to the Holy Month.

There are a lot of tantalizing options we just adored such as the so flavorful pastillas made by their Moroccan Chef: guests can actually taste both the chicken pastilla and the seafood version that is slightly spicy. We couldn’t decide which was our favorite but both are a must-try! There also were different meat and fish tajine options neatly arranged in colorful tajine pots.

The buffet display is awesome, with various corners to explore, from the salad buffet to the warm appetizers and large choice of main courses. We liked the way every dish is displayed in rustic crockery, from ceramic to copper pots, that gives a nostalgic and homely feel. The Iftar at The Terrace also includes some impressive options such as stuffed pigeon and roasted chicken.

The hot appetizer section is filled with cheese and chicken fattheera, battata souffle, kofta sanyia, beef tongue and many more savory delicacies. Make sure to try some stuffed vegetables as they are juicy, tasty and melt in the mouth.

Leave room for the desserts as they have a splendid selection on offer. The date and caramel pudding served warm was to die for. We also really enjoyed tasting the banana passion cake and the creative edible sculptures that were as gorgeous to taste as they looked.

While kids adored the chocolate fountain to dip with marshmallows and fresh-cut fruits into the chocolate mixture, we saw many adults visiting another chocolate section where huge chocolate bars filled with nuts and dry fruits could be cut with a wooden hammer. This playful station was quite popular and the chocolate was divine.

There is also a wide choice of beautifully displayed dates for breaking the fast or enjoying post-Iftar.

A welcoming family atmosphere and tasty dishes to enjoy in a contemporary setting, this is an Iftar worth trying!

The St. Regis Iftar at The Terrace on the Corniche is served daily from sunset to 11 pm. This Iftar buffet including Ramadan juices and water is priced at AED 235.
