Caramel Valentine’s Day Special
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we were invited to Caramel Restaurant and Lounge in Abu Dhabi to experience their upcoming tailored menu for the romantic occasion.
We personally love that they have chosen to celebrate not just on the 14th but for the entire week! Available from the 8th to the 14th February every evening from 6pm, the romantic and cosy restaurant located at The Collection on Saadiyat Island offers a special 3-courses menu at 399 AED per couple including a glass of grape on arrival.
Depending on your mood, there are different seating options to choose from-the new quiet and hidden outdoor terrace, the super cosy lounge with relaxing sofas or the traditional main indoor dining area.
For the starters, there are two options and we tried both. The heirloom Tomato Mozarella Salad with a balsamic glaze is refreshing and nicely displayed with different kinds of tomatoes (green, yellow and red). We, however, preferred the Layered Shrimp and Avocado Salad which was not only had an impressive plating style but was also very tasty with different dressings on each layer.
For the main, we adored the CAB (Certified Angus Beef ) Beef Tenderloin served with a parsnip puree and heart-shaped braised potatoes. The creamy papardelle with Black Truffle didn’t disappoint either.
For our desserts, we couldn’t resist ordering and sharing the Raspberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Lava. If you are into chocolate, this is a must try with its chocolate crispy base, smooth chocolate mousse topped with raspberry coulis and strawberry ice cream.
Sophisticated, cosy, intimate, this is the perfect spot to head to for a romantic night in the Capital and celebrate Valentine or then just an excuse for going out anytime between the 8th and 14th February.
