A unique and unparalleled foodie experience in Abu Dhabi till mid-November 2015

Often referred as ‘The Diamond of the kitchen’, we now understand why there is such a buzz and superlatives involved when it comes to the precious White Truffle.

Invited to come and experience the opening of the White Truffle season at Cipriani Yas Island, we went over to enjoy the combination of Cipriani culinary savoir-faire and hearty Italian dishes with this sublime ingredient.

It is the second year now that Cipriani Yas Island proposes a White Truffle menu highlighting the jewel of Italian gastronomy: the White Truffle from Alba, in Piedmont Region. Harvested and only available during fall, to fully appreciate their taste, the White Truffle has to be the star of the dish and is best enjoyed with simple recipes such as omelets, pastas, or white meats.

Chef Stefano Mason and his team have come up with a selection of fourteen different dishes from starters to main course that enhance the distinguished flavor of this transcendent ingredient.

With temperatures starting to cool down, we recommend you opt for a table on the terrace. Overlooking the marina and the Yas Viceroy hotel, the view is just unbeatable and adds to a pleasantly quiet and romantic atmosphere.

For our starters, we enjoyed sharing a Carpaccio topped with White truffle that exudes full aroma after the drizzling of olive oil. We were just stunned by the combination of scrambled eggs and White Truffle as the unique taste just exploded in the mouth.

Already fans of the signature homemade creamy Tagliolini, we adored it even more with the generous topping of fresh White Truffle shaved by a Cipriani manager at our table.

For our main, the Veal Piccatine with White Truffle stood out. Served along with rice, we savoured each mouthful as the sauce, tender veal and truffle sprinkles paired marvellously well together.

If you want to end the dinner on a sweet note, just go for one of their signature desserts : the vanilla Meringue. Soft and warm, it is a classic recipe not be missed!

The White Truffle Menu is available at Cipriani Yas Island from mid-October to mid-November only.
