Invited to attend the relaunched Friday brunch at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island, we were seriously blown away by the new concept that offers an amazing spread of food accompanied with grape pairings.

The new layout

For this new season, The St. Regis Saadiyat Hotel is back with great novelties that will enhance your palate and amaze your tastebuds.

First the hotel proposes plenty more stations to discover located throughout the different restaurants, including Olea and 55&5th or the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea and lush gardens.

Displayed over 2,000 square meters, you are taken on spectacular culinary journey, invited to walk through the hotel to visit the different stations. Although the brunch was full we never felt crowded with brunch-goers relaxing indoors at Olea, outdoors on the terrace with the live band nearby or even inside the 55&5th restaurant.

What also made our day is meeting the chefs and mixologists from the different venues – Olea, Manhattan, Sontaya, Turquoiz and 55&5th – who brought their skills and passion together and shared their knowledge on the dishes and suggested pairings.


Such a variety of stations…

Already fans of the Olea brunch for the past few seasons, we must say this new journey is even more outstanding and will amaze the Epicurian brunch-goers.

Don’t miss the oysters station carefully selected from France, Ireland and Russia. We best enjoyed the Kelly’s oysters from Galway married with a pomegranate mignonette dressing. Visiting the Foie Gras station nearby, it was a pure delight watching the Chef assembling ‘à l’assiette’ the seared foie gras served with fresh figs on a toasted bread and served with a green apple Chantilly.

The seafood and raw food fans will certainly adore the ceviche, sushi and sashimi corners and the fresh catch stations.

Inside Olea, guests are spoilt for choice from the poultry, butcher or seafood market stations and even a vegetable station . Amongst our favorites were the scrumptious Egg Benedicte served on a waffle and the roasted pineapple served with duck.

We felt overwhelmed visiting the Cheese Loft located in the private dinner room inside 55&5th restaurant. The huge dinner table has more than 40 different cheeses to offer with French options on one side and British on the other. Take a few seconds to observe the surroundings especially the huge ceiling lamp that makes this room a pure gem.

Another amazing set up is the dessert corner that makes both kids and adults squeal with enthusiasm. There are plenty of activities to experience from tasting the Magic-Potions, to playing the ‘Fish your Sweet’ to get your sweet inside a plastic bubble, fire your marshmallow on a stick or experiment with chemistry at the Chocolate Texture lab.


The pairing concept

The St. Regis Saadiyat Brunch has brought together the offerings and skills of their different restaurant venues and propose 8 different bars to visit such as the Island, Manhattan, Tropical, Eatini, BBQ bars and more. It is a delight for the eyes to watch the mixologists preparing different mocktails and cocktails.


The after-brunch option

As time flies with so much food and entertainment, if you feel like enjoying the rest of the day with family and friends, just walk a few steps down to the sea to Turquoiz for a beach party, with kids playing in the sand while you enjoy that holiday-vibe by the ocean waiting for the sun to set.

Pearl Package at 395 AED inclusive of house beverages
Diamond Package at 495 AED inclusive of food and bubbly
Children’s Package at 150 AED per kid from 6 till 12 years old (free for kids under 5 years old)
