Thinking of going meat free? – There are so many veggie choices in the city
Herbivores rejoice! From Indian to Italian, those who choose not to eat meat, have never been more spoilt for choice in Abu Dhabi.
If you are looking for strict vegetarian places, there a few restaurants still knocking around. Chapaan Bhog (location map here) and Indian by Nature (location map here), both serve traditional South Indian cuisine such as dosa’s and thalis – delicious and easy on your pocket.
Head to Roberto’s at Galleria Mall on Maryah Island, for their amazingly rich and flavoursome Risotto Bosco. We know risotto doesn’t always fill a vegetarians heart a flutter, but this one is definitely worth trying.
If you want a Mexican feast, pop down to Little Mexico on Saadiyat and try Vegetarian Albondigas – vegetarian meatballs with white rice and spicy sauce.
If authentic Arabic food floats your boat, try out the meze at Cedar Lounge at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, which has the best beetroot hummus that we’ve ever tried.
Tickle your taste buds with Thai food from Sontaya restaurant at St Regis Saadiyat – their red tofu curry and veggie Pad Thai are wholesome and so tasty!
Burger fans head to Café 302 at Al Maha Arjaan Rotanta for their newly launched range of veggie burgers, including chunky Portobello & black bean burger or red lentil and cauliflower burger – YUM!
