A new Italian ‘Restorante’ to visit next time the family is craving pizza and pasta!

After Centro Rotana, Arjaan by Rotana, there is now a newcomer in the family called Pearl Rotana, located beside Centro Rotana.

It is actually a convenient spot for when you visit an exhibition at ADNEC, as it is just across the street. Apart from the all-day dining, the hotel just opened The Warehouse, a wine and tapas bar and Dino’s Bistro Italiano, an Italian restaurant.

Always up for Italian cuisine? This no-fuss spot serves authentic Italian food-fresh pasta and pizza cooked in the wood- fire oven.

Reminiscent of a trattoria in Italy, with the red and white checkered tablecloths and candles in glass bottles on the table-we were instantly drawn to the warm and cozy vibe.

The restaurant was larger than we expected with a large yet inviting lounge bar at the entrance, comfortable main room and also a private dining room, convenient for business meetings or private parties.

Dino Abu Dhabi

We were invited to review the restaurant very soon after its official opening. We started with a sharing platter of antipasti including beef bresaola, soft cheese and the typical Grissoni. We also tried various salads that paired well with the board platter. Dino’s bread, topped with cheese, was to die for and we wish they would set up a bakery corner for take away, as we would happily purchase their items.

Let’s linger over their pizza and pasta menu

Dino’s pizzas are fairly priced between 60 and 70 AED and the bistro offers some very unique toppings such as the Pizza Local – with chicken shawarma, feta, zaatar, garlic mayo and rucola; the Americana – with spaghetti, homemade meatballs and parmesan. If you are not adventurous and prefer your classic version, there are all on the menu. There are also three different white pizza options (without tomato sauce).

Dinner at Dino’s Bistro Italiano

We tasted two classic pizzas – margarita and pepperoni – and the crust was well executed to our taste. The tables were also filled with different classic pastas- spaghetti carbonara and fettuccine alla bolognese – that will always be a hit with the little ones.

To end on a sweet note, we finished with Tiramisu – fresh and not overly sweet – while others enjoyed a butterscotch and caramel pudding.

The restaurant, which is licensed, will be open during Ramadan after 7 pm every night. Don’t hesitate to follow their social media accounts as the restaurant proposes a large variety of themed nights that make the spot ideal for a chilled out, catch-up night with friends in the city.

Oh, and if you want a drink before you head home, The Warehouse is worth checking out for the decor, especially the arched tunnel – made with red bricks and decorated with large wooden barrels – leading to the Warehouse that has a nice industrial and pub feel.
