ICONS OF ART TO OPEN AT OPERA GALLERY DUBAI

Art fans get ready –  in a major coup for the UAE art scene, Opera Gallery has brought together works by some of the biggest names in modern art to go on show right here in Dubai. Icons of Art opened in January 2015 and has had art enthusiasts flocking in from all over the country to catch a glimpse of famed works from the 20th century.

Pieces by Pablo Picasso, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Joan Miro, Marc Chagall, Fernand Léger and Henri Matisse will be on display. Also present will be the grand master of Pop Art, Andy Warhol, alongside works by Fernando Botero and Alexander Calder. Between them, these artists cover a huge span of styles that have characterised the development of art throughout the 20th century from impressionism, fauvism and expressionism to abstract art, cubism and futurism.

The exhibition brings together 70 revered and quality pieces from the ultra high-end artists and has been curated to appeal to different tastes.  Some of the must-see pieces include Renoir, Calder, Chagall and Robert Longo.
