Just the perfect space for people to explore their creative side
Some of you may have already registered your child or then participated in an art workshop organized by Art Studio in Manarat Al Saadiyat during the yearly Abu Dhabi art exhibitions.
While visiting the newly open L’ARTE restaurant at Manarat Al Saadiyat (our review here) that took over FANR, we came across a brand new fabulous facility dedicated to art supplies and art workshops inside Manarat Al Saadiyat.
We were in awe to discover that Art Studio has expanded a lot and now offers a multi-disciplinary arts space designed to bring hands-on arts education programme, art classes, drop-in sessions, workshops and more. Their Studio can now welcome a wider audience, proposing dedicated spaces for all ages to work both collaboratively and individually.
We immediately fell for this art space that instantly awaken the asleep creative side in you! Art Studio has come up with several innovative ideas we are eager to share.
Speaking to the Art Studio manager, we discovered they organize art-oriented birthday parties for adults in their studio. So instead of looking for a classic bar or restaurant to celebrate your next birthday, this is an outside the box way to celebrate your day!
Their drop-in studio is where you can get creative
Another feature we found absolutely cool and innovative is their drop-in studio. Designed for people of all ages, you can actually come and use the studio to create art at your own pace for up to two hours. For adults and teens, the fees is 50 AED for 2 hours (30 AED for kids ).
The Drop-in studio is open on weekdays between 3.30 pm and 8 pm. On Fridays and Saturdays, guests are also welcome between 10 am and 8 pm.
While there we saw a teenager working on a 3D modeling, a mum watching her young daughter playing with sand, paper and paint while another man was working on a large canvas.

The varied classes for adults and kids
Obviously, ART Studio proposes an eclectic and varied range of art activities, led by teaching artists. These activities allow you to explore a variety of techniques, styles and themes. Fashion illustration, digital drawings, archisculpture, clay, collage, graphite, charcoal or gestural figure drawing, botanical illustrations are some of the daily workshops that caught our attention but there are many more to browse online.
The workshops last between 1 to 3 hours each and cost between 100 and 150 AED per session for adults and between 50 and 75 AED per session for children and teenagers.

The Art Supply Store
Next time you head to the Art Studio inside Manarat Al Saadiyat, you should also stop at their art supply store. Art Central – which also has another boutique at Boutilk mall on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi – partnered with Manarat Al Saadiyat to open this store and you will find a variety of art supplies including pencils, brushes, many kinds of paints to papers, canvas and so much more.

The boutique display is so nicely done you will end up spending quite some time browsing the shelves and are will probably not leave empty-handed.
