Ava’s Adventures Abroad: Abu Dhabi is on shelves now.
A new book will ignite fond memories for your children about the city they call home. Ava’s Adventures Abroad: Abu Dhabi tells the story of a little girl who goes on an Arabian adventure around the nation’s capital.
Ava thinks it’s a city of magic lamps and flying carpets, but her tour guide, a camel called Mike, shows her a very different side of Abu Dhabi. During their quest they visit iconic attractions including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
They also visit a Bedouin village in Liwa Desert, jump on a dhow cruise in search of pearls and go island hopping. She learns that Abu Dhabi’s culture and heritage are far more exciting than a boring old flying carpet.
The book is released by Le Petit Nomads, who are Abu Dhabi based mums and writers, Brenda Bell Davis and Samantha Wyatt. It combines photography of the emirate’s landmarks and graphics, which the authors say ‘attracts the eyes but doesn’t distract from the story’.
You can purchase Ava’s Adventures Abroad: Abu Dhabi (hardcover format) in The Nest for Kids at Abu Dhabi Mall priced at AED75, as well on Amazon.com in a variety of formats, starting from $2.99.
