A Chance to Explore Some Korean Gems in Cinema
Love film? Take your cinematic adventures up a notch by visiting Korea via the silver screen this April.
The now-annual festival is organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Abu Dhabi’s Korean Cultural Centre, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai, and it aims to showcase the quality and diversity of Korean films.
Opening with ‘Train to Busan’, the first ‘zombie’ feature film in Korea directed by Yeon Sang-ho, a total of eight feature films will be screened during the festival. You can also catch Kim Jee-woon’s award-winning war thriller The Age of Shadows, while the adorable coming-of-age cartoon Green Days: Dinosaur and I is a great one to take the kids to.
The selection of films chosen showcase different genres from drama and action to documentary and animation. Even better, all the screenings are free. That being said, a cinema only has so many seats so be sure to reserve tickets, which are available for collection at the venue from two hours before the screening.
