Mince pies, Santa AND carol singing? It must be tree lighting time!

With festive season upon us, the best way to start feeling Christmassy is to pop along to one (or all) of the numerous tree lighting ceremonies across the capital.  As well as the lights, you will be treated to festive refreshments, get a chance to meet Santa, as well as hear carol singing.  Here are some of our favourites events in the city.

On the 4th December, LARTE will be ushering in the start of the festive season with the Lighting of the Tree. Their courtyard will come alive when they switch on the lights and present a truly UAE Christmas experience.

• Bab Al Qasr Hotel & Residences – From 5 pm onwards

Bab Al Qasr Hotel & Residences will kick off the most awaited time of the year with their annual Christmas Tree-lighting ceremony. The service will be held in the hotel Lobby on 5 December from 18:30 onwards, with festive food and beverages to follow.

To elevate the spirits of the congregation, a children’s choir will be on hand partaking in joyous Christmas caroling, taking the festivities up a notch. The Christmas Tree lighting is a symbol of the beginning of the holiday season and all are invited to join in the cheery fiesta.

Starting 6 December, this winter wonderland will also display a merry assortment of Christmas-themed foods and treats, all available for purchase.
