Check out this musical narrated live by Hugh Grant

Golden Globe winning actor Hugh Grant is set to grace the stage instead of the big screen this April when he tells the classical tale “The Little Prince” for the regional premier of the famous musical adaptation.

Grant will narrate the story live alongside a 40-player orchestra and 13 singers, during the performance which takes place on April 21 and 22 at Emirates Palace as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival.

The French literary classic tells the story of a pilot that crashes into the desert and meets a boy from a different plant before he ventures off into space. The story, which was published in 1943, has been translated into 230 different languages worldwide and still sells one million copies per year.

The Abu Dhabi Festival will run throughout April and welcome other popular performers including Chinese pianist Lang Lang, Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta, French singers Natalie Dessay and Laurent Naouri. Tickets start from AED 125 per person.
