For the first time in Abu Dhabi, The Laurent de Wilde Trio will be live in concert one night at the auditorium of Manarat Al Saadiyat.
Laurent de Wilde will play in Abu Dhabi with the renowned bass player Bruno Rousselet and the drummer Philippe Soirat.
Born in Washington in 1960, Laurent de Wilde stands out through the sheer depth and diversity of his work. A world-renowned pianist, composer and writer, de Wilde has redefined contemporary jazz through experimentation and innovation.
This exceptional jazz trio will play some of the best titles of the acoustic album “Over the Clouds” as well as some tracks chosen especially for this occasion. Released in 2012, the Trio’s album “Over The Clouds” has been widely acclaimed by critics for its maturity, elegance and inventiveness. “Over the Clouds” is a colourful, sensitive and intimate album melding contemporary jazz with African beats.
This concert is brought to us by the Cultural Department of the French Embassy (Institut Français) in the UAE and the Alliance Française Abu Dhabi, with the support of the Bank of Sharjah.
