Hundred Best Arabic Posters 100/100

This winter, Warehouse 421 is hosting the Hundred Best Arabic Posters exhibition, for the second time in Abu Dhabi.

This exhibition is showcasing the winning posters submitted to the biennale 100/100 – HUNDRED BEST ARABIC POSTERS competition in 2018, as selected by a jury of professional, independent designers and academics from across the Arab world.

The show spreads knowledge of graphic design from the Arab region and reveals the vibrancy of poster language that is deeply embedded in the culture of the Arab world, beyond just its visuals. The 100 winners come from various countries including Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Koweit, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sudan, UAE and beyond.

 

The competition documents the Arab world’s contemporary visual culture by showcasing the best Arabic posters once every two years, while also serving as a platform to inspire, connect, and educate a growing community of emerging designers, academics and graphic design professionals.

These 100 winning posters are rewarded with a travelling exhibition that stops in several countries within the Arab world, starting with Abu Dhabi.

A very interesting exhibition to visit with the family, it provides an opportunity to discuss contemporary art and visual communication, especially with teenagers.
