CONTEMPLATE ART FOR FREE

Visit the current two exhibitions at Warehouse 421
It’s no secret we love that Warehouse 421 building designed by the world acclaimed young architect Bjarke Ingels (we highly encourage you to visit this cultural center at Mina Port Zayed that he designed  few years ago) and there are currently  two exhibitions there that you can enjoy for free:

  • Redefining space, between borders at Warehouse 421

Between the 8th and the 30th of September 2018

“Cuadro Fine Art Gallery is presenting artworks by Camille Zakharia. While the photographic collage works carry a fluid abstract characteristic on the surface, upon close reflection, subtle patterns composed of specific signifiers and symbols begin to emerge on the surface, reflecting the artist’s itinerary journey away from his native land, and his attempt to find harmony within the boundaries of places he calls Home.”

  • Enjoy a sunrise bike tour at Hudaryat Island
You have driven around Al Bateen beach area and have seen this beautiful new bridge called Hudayriat Bridge. Well, it’s now open and leads to the Hudayriat island that has fantastic biking and running tracks all around the island (loops of 5 and 10 km actually). We agree temperatures are still too warm for an afternoon ride but some of you may feel like waking up earlier one day to just ride close to the sea, enjoy the sea breeze and bearable outdoor temperatures while exercising. Sounds like a plan!

When the days will get cooler, this recreational island will also be worth visiting to enjoy beach time. The Hudayriat Beach (with a lifeguard on the site) features four football fields, four volleyball courts, four basketball courts, four tennis courts, two beach football fields, two beach volleyball courts, and an open garden.
